Nuestro primer catálogo

Después de esta pequeña espera, os traemos un montón de novedades que irán apareciendo en nuestros blogs poco a poco.
La primera: nuestro primer catálogo!!! En él vais a encontrar un pequeño ejemplo de todas las cosas que hacemos a mano. Podéis consultarlo en la página especial de nuestro blog “Couturel, la tienda”.

Si queréis descargaros el catálogo lo podéis hacer simplemente clikando sobre la pestaña "visit url" que aparece al final del catálogo. Entrareis en nuestra página Issue; bajo la publicación encontrareis una serie de botones entre los cuales está el de descarga “Download publication”. Así podréis un vistazo cuando queráis.
El catálogo se irá renovando con nuevos proyectos y especiales en fechas señaladas del calendario.
Esperamos que os guste y que nos dejéis saber vuestra opinión sobre él.

After this little standby, we bring you a lot of novelties that will appear in our blogs gradually.
The first: our first catalog!!!. In this catalog you are going to find a little example of all the hanmdade stuff that we can do. You can consult it in the special page on our blog “Couturel, la tienda”.

Hemos pensado que pueden ser ideales para regalar tanto como recuerdos de bautismo como adornos para el cochecito de vuestro bebé, como llavero, para colgar en el coche o en el bolso. En fin, para cualquier decoración que se os ocurra. Por supuesto podeis elegir los colores que más os gusten o coleccionarlos!!!. Y si no os gusta que lleven cascabel, sólo teneis que decírnoslo.

Hello everybody!!!
This week we´re showing you our ringing pacifiers (with a bell in each). We were thinking about It would be ideals to give as a gift for baptism, babyshower or whatever celebration you may have. As well, you can use them as a decoration for you baby´s carriege, for your bag, as a key chain... You can choose any colours you want, it´s up tu you. Just collect them!!!!. And if you don´t want them to have bells in, you just have to say it to us.

Come on, choose something different and special for the presents of your events!!!!

Hola a todos, esta semana el tema va de miedooooo. Soy una gran amante del cine de terror y cuando me sugirieron hacer la reproducción en gumi de Jason, el prota de la saga de Viernes 13, me encantó la idea. Al principio no sabía muy bien cómo empezar, bueno, lo típico en los proyectos, hasta que no tienes un día inspirado.

Tengo una gran pandilla de amigos frikis y cada vez que hago algo que tiene que ver con el mundo friki someto mis creaciones al juicio de mis amigos. Normalmente salgo bien parada. Una vez más el muñeco ha pasado el duro juicio de mis amigos, ¿y a vosotros?, ¿qué os parece?

Hello everybody!!!, this week, it is about scary stuff… I´m a huge fan of Terror films and when they suggested me to do a reproduction of Jason, of Friday the 13th saga, I loved the idea. In the beginning I didn´t know where to start, well, it always happens with projects, until you have an inspiring day.

I have a bunch of geek friends and every time I do something like this, I always submit it to my friends´ judgment. And it, almost always, comes out well.

Once again my project has passed the judgment of my friends. And…what about you?, what do you think about it?

Coser y cantar, todo es empezar

"Coser y cantar, todo es empezar."

Eso decía mi abuela.
Y tenía razón.

A mí me enseñaron de pequeña a coser, bordar, ganchillar y calcetar (a cantar no, que canto fatal ajjajajajajjajajajaj) a la par que aprendía matemáticas, a jugar al ajedrez y a dibujar.
Sin embargo, la costura era una actividad considerada “de chicas”. Qué tontería. Coser es un conocimiento básico (poder coser un botón es fundamental –especialmente en un apocalipsis zombie como el que vivimos - y todo el mundo debería saber hacerlo) y, en su versión más sofisticada, un arte desestresante.

Gracias a dios (o a la crisis, vete tú a saber) volvemos a valorar altamente lo hecho a mano por sus componentes de arte y de exclusividad, por su sostenibilidad ecológica y económica, y por lo divertido que es hacerlo y usarlo.

Cada tarde-noche, antes de cenar, dejo reposar mi portátil sobre mi mesa-maleta (en breve el DIY exprés en este blog) y me gusta; cada vez que me pongo un broche hecho por mí, me gusta; cada vez que triunfo en la cocina, me gusta; me siento bien, orgullosa y satisfecha, y me olvido del estrés diario de la vida moderna, esa que nos han impuesto los de arriba, con sus calificaciones de deuda, sus rescates y sus tropelías.
Y me acuerdo de mis abuelas y abuelo, de mi madre, que me enseñaron a coser y a dibujar como parte del conocimiento humano, sin sesgos sexistas ni connotaciones extrañas, y me permitieron estar más adaptada y tener más válvulas de escape.

Supongo que muchos leerán esto y pensarán que exagero o que mi visión es excesivamente épica; nada más lejos de la realidad. A los que no saben coser les invito en esta semana del Día Mundial de Tejer en Público a comenzar en este antiguo arte de la costura, en cualquiera de sus modalidades, y disfrutar del desarrollo de las capacidades creativas y manuales.

Como cierre de esta editorial, os dejo estos pequeños objetos cotidianos que he diseñado en reconocimiento a esta labor humana que esperemos que no se pierda.

"Sewing and singing, everything is starting."
That´s what my grandmother used to say.
And she was right.

When I was a little girl, I was taught to sew, embroidery, crocheting and knitting (not singing, I sing very badly ajjajajajajjajajajaj) at the same time I was learning math, playing chess and drawing.
However, the seam was an activity considered "for girls". What nonsense. Sewing is a basic knowledge (to sew a button is essential - especially in a zombie apocalypse as we live - and everyone should know how to) and, in a more sophisticated version, it´s an de-stressing art.

Thank god (or thank the crisis) we return to value the handmade things highly because of its components of art and exclusivity, because of their ecological and economic sustainability, and because how fun it´s to make it and use it.
Each evening, before dinner, I let my laptop upon my suitcase-table (in short, this DIY express will appear in this blog) and I like it; every time I wear a brooch made by me, I like it; every time I succeed in the kitchen, I like it; I feel good, proud and satisfied, and I forget the daily stress of modern life, that life which the wealthy impose on us, with their debt ratings, their rescues and their outrages.
And I remember my grandmothers and grandfather, I remember my mother, they taught me to sew and draw as part of human knowledge, without gender slant or strange connotations, they allowed me to be more adapted and have more safety valves.

I guess many people will read this and they will think I exaggerate or that my vision is too epic; not at all. To those who don´t know how to sew, I suggest to start in this ancient art of sewing, in all its forms, now in this week of the World Wide Knit in Public Day, and enjoy the development of creative and manuals capabilities.

As closing of this editorial, I leave these daily little objects that I designed in recognition of this human work, that I hope it don´t miss.

Este domingo me gustaría dedicar mi post a una película de culto dentro del anime, Mi vecino Totoro (en japonés となりのトトロ). Muchos fanáticos de lo japonés lo habreis reconocido nada más verlo, pues se trata de una las obras maestras de Hayao Miyazaki (también conocido por dirigir películas de animación tan populares como "La Princesa Mononoke", "El viaje de Chihiro" o "El Castillo Ambulante", entre otras). Pues ahí teneis mi contribución a perpetuar la memoria de esta gran película que ninguno, ni grandes ni pequeños, deberían perderse. Más adelante haré otros modelos que, por supuesto, subiré en su momento.

Que tengais un buen final de semana y un mejor comienzo...!!!! Nos vemos pronto!!!


This sunday I would like to dedicate my post to a cult film in anime, My Neighbour Totoro ( となりのトトロ in japonese ). Most of you, japanaise´s fans have recognized him at the first sight, since it is one of the most popular films of Hayao Miyazaki ( he´s very popular for his work on animation films as popular as "Princess Mononoke", "Chihiro spirited away" or "Howl´s moving castle", between others). So here you are my contribution to continue the memory of this great film that noone, non big ones nor little ones, should skip. I will be showing you other different models in time.

Perrito en Adopción / Doggy to adopt

Hoy os presentamos a nuestro perrito para adoptar....está esperando que algún niño lo acoja para poder pasar las horas jugando con él . Tiene muchos colores, como el arcoiris, y su cuerpecito en forma de acordeón. Esa linda carita de perrito tristón...¿nos os da ganas de llevaros uno para casa?.

We introduce you to our doogy to adopt...it´s waiting for a kid to wellcome it and spend the hours playing with him. It´s full of colours, as de rainbow, and its little body is an accordion. That little sad face....don´t you feel like to take it home?

Kokeshi keychain / Llaveros kokeshi

Poco se sabe a ciencia cierta del origen de las muñecas kokeshi. Dicen que en un principio se hacían de madera. Se cree que tienen sus orígenes en la práctica de la religión del "spiritualist". Estas muñecas de madera fueron pensadas para contener la esencia espiritual de los muertos y hechas a menudo como recuerdo honorario. Nosotras nos hemos inspirado en estas muñequitas que, de hecho, están muy de moda, para hacer nuestros propios llaveros kokeshi. Cada una es diferente y podeis personalizar la vuestra. Aquí os mostramos tres ejemplos…

We don´t know much about kokeshi dolls´ origins. They say that in the beginning they were made in wood. It´s believed that they have their origins in an ancient spiritualist religion. These wooden dolls were thought to contain the spiritual essence of the dead y were often made as an honory remind. We have been inspired on these little dolls, that are very popular nowadays, to make our own kokeshi keychain. Every keychain is different and you can also personalize yours. Here you are three examples…

Teddy Keychain / Ositos llavero

Todos hemos tenido un osito de pequeños. Los ositos de peluche gustan a todos…Los hay de muchas formas y colores. Hay personas que incluso pasan años coleccionándolos...

Cuando pensé en este llavero, pensé en algo tierno y jugoso para estrujar…jejejeje. Así que, decidí hacer este pequeño amigurumi en crochet que pudiera llevar siempre conmigo...

We all have had a Teddy when we were Little. Everyone like Teddys…there are all kinds and colours of Teddys…There are even people who collect them for years…

When I thought about this keychain, I thought about something kind and tender, something to squeeze..hehehehe. So, I decided to crochet this little amigurumi in wood so I could always carry it with me…

Bebe té, por ejemplo, English breakfast

Decía Hipócrates (en el siglo V antes de Cristo, por cierto): "Que tu alimento sea tu medicina". Este concepto sobrevivió en el refranero popular durante muchos siglos (mi abuela, como todas las abuelas, era como una enciclopedia de dichos populares, muchos referentes a la comida).
Actualmente, los grandes avances científicos confirman esta información que nos habían contado: la alimentación es clave en nuestra vida, condicionando nuestro estilo de vida, nuestro sistema inmune e incluso nuestra genética. Sí, nuestra genética. La epigenética y la nutrigenómica (vaya palabrejas) progresan día a día en conocer cómo lo que comemos nos cambia (para mejor o peor).
Así que mejor prevenir que curar. Una buena alimentación redunda en una mejor salud y en un buen aspecto.

Para empezar estas entradas sobre recetas y "superalimentos", he escogido el té. El té, hojitas procesadas de "Camellia Sinensis" que encierran todo un universo de beneficios, placeres, técnicas y ceremonias. Contiene múltiples oligoelementos fundamentales para el organismo; aumenta las capacidades cognitivas; protege el corazón; son famosas sus propiedades antioxidantes frente a los radicales libres. Y sobre todo, sabe bien y sienta bien.
Para empezar el día, nada como un té English Breakfast, que por sus capacidades activadoras lo hacen adecuado para afrontar la jornada (máxime ahora con este panorama de crisis).
Una taza de té hace la vida más agradable.
Así que, mantén la calma y bebe té!!!

P.D.: os recomiendo, además de buscar algún libro sobre el té en la biblioteca, visualizar este documental sobre cómo la alimentación nos construye: “Epigenética: cómo la alimentación altera nuestros genes” (de La Noche Temática de TVE).

Hippocrates said (in the V century BC, by the way): "Let your food be your medicine." This concept survived in the popular proverbs for many centuries (my grandmother, like all grandmothers, was like an encyclopedia of popular sayings, many relating to food).
Currently, big scientific advances confirm this information we were told: food is crucial in our lives, determining our lifestyle, our immune system and even our genetics. Yes, our genetics. Epigenetics and nutrigenomics progress in knowledge of how what we eat change us (for better or worse).
So better safe than sorry. Good nutrition leads to better health and looking good.

To begin these entries about recipes and “super food”, I have chosen tea. Tea, “Camellia Sinensis” processed leaves enclosing a world of benefits, pleasures, techniques and ceremonies. It contains many oligoelements, essentials to the body, increases cognitive abilities, protects the heart, and is famous for its antioxidant properties against free radicals. And above all, tastes good and feels good.
To start the day, nothing like an English Breakfast tea, which stimulating capabilities make it suitable to face the day (especially now with this situation of crisis).
A cup of tea makes life nicer.
So, keep calm, and drink tea!!!

Buenas chic@s!!!!

Esta semana os presento otro de mis amigurumis estrella. Muchos lo reconocereis por la serie de dibujos que fue un exitazo allá en los 80, qué nostalgia, eh?... jejejejeje. Este amigurumi es uno de los más grandes del catálogo, está cerquita del medio metro de altura y es ideal para decorar tanto en nuestras habitaciones frikis como en la habitación de cualquier niño al que le gusten los robots... Es un modelo totalmente hecho por mí. Espero que os guste!!!!

Hi there!!!! 

This week I´m showing you another of my amigurumis. Most of you will recognaze it because of the cartoon which was a great success back in the 80s, what a nostalgie, huh? jejejejeje. This gumi is one of the biggest ones in our catalog, it´s 17,32" high and it´s ideal as a decoration for our friki rooms as well as our kids´ bethroom... It´s a model totally made by myself. Hope you like this one!!!! 

Kawaii bunny: orange

Aquí os dejo otro de mis bunnies, esta vez en naranja y con un bonito gorrito negro!!!. Estoy pensando en hacer una serie con distintos modelos, colores y apliques que os hiré enseñando en semanas sucesivas. Podeis hacer cualquier sugerencia o darme cualquier idea. Son totalmente customizables, sólo teneis que sugerir...y ya sabeis, si os gustan, hacérselo saber a vuestros amigos también. Buen fin de semana a todos!!!
